We made the first real improvement since water was invented:

Bavarian WaterWorks entered the bottled water business with the purpose of providing a bottled water that is good tasting as well as good for the body. We entered this market understanding the strong points as well as the vulnerabilities of the competition. In essence, we found a market niche and intend to fill it with our water.

Our water marketing plan is based on the following premise:

1. Bottled Water should start with good water.

2. Calcium, Magnesium and Potassium are required in a soluble form to be well absorbed.

3. These essential minerals need to be in the ideal ratio to enhance absorption and proper utilization by the body.

4. Water with an alkaline pH assures the complete healthy advantage of providing minerals in water.

Not all bottled waters are equal. They vary based upon source, i.e. municipality water source (tap water), natural spring water, artesian water or well water, content and marketing to target specific consumers. Not all water is what the label says. Look for the fine print that says "from a municipal water source" on many labels that suggest something else. As an example, only 10% Artesian water is required in order for the water to be called Artesian Water. The rest can be from other source such as local municipal (tap water) water supply.

It is a known fact that all bottled water hydrates the body. It is a now known fact that de-mineralized (Purified) water tends to cause the body to mine the bones of essential minerals (namely Calcium, Magnesium and Potassium) leading to bone porosity.

This has to do with the specific gravity of de-mineralized water vs. the body fluid specific gravity. De-mineralized water has a lower specific gravity than the body because of the void of electrolyte minerals. Thus the flow of minerals from the bones to balance the body’s chemistry. This is a fact of nature.

Many water companies advertise mineralized water, pure water or wetter water. In this technical advisory, we will suggest how to evaluate their labels and compare. We put our information, web site and technical information on the label for all to read and understand.

We offer no hype or sales gimmicks or words picturing the same boiler plate well worn descriptive phrases; just good technical information about our water and the minerals involved. People who understand nutrition and the role of minerals in the body understand our information.

Why Bavarian WaterWorks water is different:

WaterWorks water starts with Canadian Spring Water complete with it’s original mineral content. Minerals give water its good taste. The water is filtered and ozonated to neutralize and remove impurities. This retains the original minerals and fresh spring water taste.

WaterWorks adds a chelated soluble/absorbable form of three essential minerals for the healthy choice. Calcium and Magnesium need to be in a very specific ratio to assure mutual absorption by the body. Because Calcium, Magnesium and Potassium compete for the same bonding sites, too much of one mineral suppresses the uptake of the other two. This is a law of nature. It is a law of chemistry. This law is absolute and without contradiction.

Perrier water is an excellent example. According to their web site, their water has 147.3 mg/l of Calcium and 3.4 mg/l of Magnesium. The source of Calcium and Magnesium is likely in the carbonate form which is insoluble. But to make our point, Calcium at 147 mg/l suppresses the uptake of Magnesium. The body realizes no value from the Magnesium. This does not mean that their water is bad for you. This is just the law of Nature at work.

Many water companies list their water as mineralized with electrolytes. However, when their web site is searched we find no mention of the amount of minerals or electrolytes in their information. They get around this because their mineral content falls below the 5 ppm level.

Purified water such as EON, Penta, Trinity, Dasani or Aquafina and other purified waters utilizes the distillation process or a process called reverse osmosis. This does not make their water bad water necessarily. It means that their water does not provide three essential minerals used in every aspect of day to day normal body/life functions.

No artificial flavors, coloring, sweeteners, sugar or preservatives:

It is by design that WaterWorks water contains no artificial coloring, flavors, artificial sweeteners or preservatives.

Many companies desire to provide a truly healthy beverage for their consumer. While the concept is excellent and admirable, there are some undesirable consequences.

Traditionally, vitamin mixes such as used in many popular water based beverages often have an unpleasant or chalky taste and may make the water cloudy. Thus the need for flavors and coloring to mask these undesirable qualities. This does not make their flavored vitamin water beverage bad. The idea is excellent. However, because artificial flavors, coloring and sweeteners are usually organic in nature, this then becomes a growing medium for Bacteria, E. Coli, Salmonella and other undesirable problems. Thus the need for preservatives.

Why would anyone want water with artificial flavors, colorings, sweeteners or preservatives?

Bavarian WaterWorks Analysis:

Lets start by explaining what our water does not contain. It does not contain Arsenic, Chloride, Chlorine, Fluoride, Lead, Ethyl Mercury, Methyl Mercury, Mercury or Sodium. It was our desire from the beginning to find a source of water that has never contained these toxic minerals also known as "Heavy Metals". Our bottler, Davren Springs in Winnipeg Canada, provides the perfect spring water for our market.

Current purification processes in the bottled water business including reverse osmosis, distillation and filtering can remove safely all of these toxic minerals down to parts per billion (ppb). Current law states that water with these toxic minerals with less that the minimum established standard (5 ppb for lead)(this varies with the mineral in question) does not have to be listed on the label or in their literature.

The problem is that Lead (Pb) and Mercury (Hg) are bio-accumulative. It continues to accumulate in the body. We have test results showing that several major brands of the more popular bottled water beverages have Lead and Mercury in their water. This level falls under the legal maximum allowed by law at less than 2 ppb. But these very toxic minerals are still present.

Geo Thermal water, is more likely to contain Lead or Mercury. Many municipal water sources also tend to contain minimum amounts of toxic minerals under the legal limit.

Natural Spring Water, particularly high pH water is almost always absent of Lead and Mercury.

Studies show that lifetime consumption of chlorinated tap water can more than double the risk of bladder and rectal cancer in certain individuals. It appears that the Chlorine reacts with naturally found organic compounds to form "Chlorination byproducts," many of which are carcinogenic.

In addition to cancer, research has linked Chlorine-based chemicals to infertility and other reproductive problems.

Calistoga, a well known and respected bottled water has 183.7 mg/l of Sodium, 83.5 mg/l of Sulfates, 0.9 mg/l of Fluoride and 224.9 mg/l of Chloride per their label and web site. Fluoride tends to speed up the process of bone porosity. Fluoride in combination with Aluminum is directly associated with Alzheimer’s disease.

My question is why would anyone choose to drink water with Arsenic, Chloride, Chlorine, Fluoride or Sodium on the label?

Many popular bottled water brands list these minerals without understanding the implications of long term ingestion.

What We’re Made Of:

Bavarian WaterWorks takes natural spring water and adds a chelated form of Calcium, Magnesium and Potassium in a specific ratio to obtain the desired analysis. Our water provides 48 ppm of Calcium and Magnesium and 24 ppm of Potassium in a water that has a natural pH of 8.2. 48 ppm (parts per million) equates to 48 mg/l (48 milligrams per liter).

The value of utilizing the chelated form is that it is soluble and easily absorbed by the body for immediate utilization. The chelation process simply means that the basic element be it Calcium, Magnesium or Potassium is attached to an amino acid that the body already recognizes.

We do not use organic mineral sources such as Calcium Citrate because this provides a growing medium for Bacteria, Salmonella, E-Coli and other health related issues to reside.

The only way to counter this is to include preservatives in the water. We choose not to do this. Our goal is to provide Bottled Water that is good for the body with excellent taste by providing three essential minerals in a form that the body can use.

Several water bottlers have a lot of hype about having mineralized water and also bragging that their water is extremely pure as in only H2O). It can’t be both ways. If reverse osmosis or distillation removes the minerals, then it just is not mineralized water. They get around this because current bottled water laws indicate that if there is less than 5 ppm of these minerals, then they do not have to list the exact analysis. Essentia is an excellent example of this. Their label clearly states mineralized with electrolytes.

They may have a small trace of minerals, but it is a stretch of the imagination. This is like 1 ppm of Calcium. One part per million is equivalent to a shot of Vermouth in a 28,000 gallon railroad car of gin.

Bavarian WaterWorks provides water with a significant amount of minerals that can be absorbed. The minimum daily requirement for Calcium runs about 1200 to 1400 ppm per day for the average adult. Magnesium requirements are about 400 ppm per day. Our water is obviously below the daily body requirements. However, the minerals in our water are readily absorbed and help replace these minerals used in daily activity.

There is a lot of effort to sell water that is declared to have smaller water molecules or is considered ‘wetter water’. The theory is this enhances rapid absorption. The target is the athlete who has the potential to dehydrate. It is not the intent of this report to challenge their claims. However, the truth is, water is absorbed at the cellular level, a molecule of water (H2O) at a time.

Independent tests conclude that Natural Spring Water hydrating capabilities are equal to and are absorbed as well as Penta or Essentia. Tests conducted by Aqua ConneXions Pty LTD, Elwood Victoria concluded that based upon a numerical score of 1 – 10. Penta and Essentia scored in an independent study ranging from 4 to 7. Non designated ozonated spring water received a score of 6 while untreated tap water scored a 3 for hydration. We believe in honesty and sharing what is in our water. We put our information where it can be read and understood.

Ideal Ratio:

Calcium, Magnesium and Potassium compete for the same bonding sites at the molecular level. Too much of one mineral suppresses the uptake and proper utilization of the other two minerals. This is an indisputable law of nature. This is precisely why we provide a 1:1 ratio of Calcium to Magnesium. In order to be properly utilized by the body, all three need to be present in the correct ratio. (You can’t have one without the other.)

A critical example of this is in the heart muscle. Calcium is on the outside of the cell wall of the heart muscle and triggers the heart pulse. Magnesium is on the inside of the cell and regulates the heart rate.

If there is a Magnesium deficiency as there generally is in the soft water environment of city municipalities, or purified de-mineralized water, the heart rate can be disrupted. When there is a Magnesium deficiency, Calcium is drawn into the cell where Magnesium belongs.

This over population of Calcium tends to disrupt the heart muscle. You would know this from the requirement to prescribe "Calcium Blockers" when the heart muscle has an excess of Calcium.

Calcium and Magnesium have to be in a very precise ratio for the heart to work properly. (It has to be one on one every single time.)(This is a critical balance.) This is the law of Nature. It is absolute.

This would be similar to a baseball game where there was a pitcher but no catcher. There has to be a sender and a receiver.

The Proper pH:

WaterWorks water has a natural pH of 8.2 We consider this to be an important aspect of our healthy water. Our body pH affects everything.

Blood pH has to be maintained at a pH of 7.35 to 7.46. This is a critical and delicate balance. The body cannot survive outside these critical perimeters. This is the law of Nature.

Our body pH is important because pH controls the speed of our body's biochemical reactions. It does this by controlling the speed of enzyme activity as well as the speed that electricity moves through our body.

All biochemical reactions and electrical (life) energy are under pH control. The higher (more alkaline) the pH of a substance or solution, the more electrical resistance that substance or solution holds. Therefore, electricity travels slower with higher pH.

As the pH of the blood becomes more acidic, fatty acids which normally have a negative charge become positive. These fatty acids are than attracted to and begin to stick to the walls of the arteries which has a negative charge. It’s easy to now understand how a steady diet of acidic food and beverages will eventually create heart disease and clogged arteries.

When pH is acidic, Oxygen delivery to cells is disturbed.

The body has a built in self protecting mechanism to maintain the correct blood pH.

Guess where the body is going to pull the calcium and Magnesium from to maintain this pH balance? From the bones! The bones are the primary storage place for Calcium and minor amounts of Magnesium. Osteoporosis now becomes a possible reality.

Where Bavarian WaterWorks fits in the market place:

Our water is obviously a premium water designed specifically for the health conscious individual. We do not see Dasani, Aquafina, Nestles competing in this particular market. They are designed for the individual who simply wants a cold wet bottle of water. We do not see our water competing with these three giants in the markets they do best.

We expect to appeal to the markets that prefer to drink water that has a healthy purpose beyond hydration. We expect to dominate this market niche with excellent tasting water that delivers an honest healthy and real benefit.

Disclaimer:

It is our intent to provide honest factual information. The chemistry involving water and minerals is immutable. It is like the law of gravity. It is the law of nature. It is the law of chemistry. This law is absolute and without contradiction.

We urge you to check and verify this information for yourself.

All bottled water companies are in the business of providing a safe hydration beverage. We certainly respect their success. We do offer a unique healthy alternative to their purified de-mineralized water. We offer a healthy water that is unequaled in the bottled water industry.

Much of the information shared in this technical training sheet is not new. Some of the research has been around since the 1930’s. The information regarding the Calcium and Magnesium and soft water affecting the heart muscle has been documented in the early 1990’s.
